Walmart is a very well known retail supermarket chain in the United States. I’ve visited several states, and just as in the state I live in, Walmart can be found in nearly every town or city in each state.
Walmart, just like every successful business, has three areas of business. Number one is Sales and Marketing. Marketing is the art of advertising, and advertising is the art of persuading the viewer/reader to buy something, whether it be tangible or digital. Anytime I see a Walmart commercial, I clearly understand that the main message being conveyed is “Save money, Live better.” Marketing, of course, attracts customers to the business. Walmart provides products and service to millions of people daily worldwide.
The second aspect is the operation of the business. The products and services Walmart provides to the public are organized and sold by the employees. The employees range from managers to cashiers to accountants and law firms (in cases where Walmart gets sued by consumers for poor service/damages etc.).
Number three is finances and administration. Walmart invests its money in purchasing new products from manufacturing companies and also creating new services for its customers for the future. Gross profits are used to pay all the employees, vendors, and taxes. In order to make wise future business decisions, Walmart also tracks its financial results.
A president/CEO of the Walmart corporation oversees all of these three areas of business and makes certain that they all function harmoniously and optimally.
